A Leader Of The Digital Publishing Revolution, Issuu Is An Online Platform That Enables You To Digitally Distribute, Measure And Monetize Your Content — From Editorial To Catalog To Marketing To Everything In Between.
Issuu is looking for a strong, internationally focused, growth-oriented, marketing leader. The role requires a combination of quant-oriented customer acquisition and growth focus along with creative brand development. The ideal candidate will have experience with growing a SAAS platform business with a creative brand sense as well.
The ideal candidate creates and thrives in a high performance atmosphere and relishes the responsibility of building the demand side of an exciting content SAAS and discovery platform. S/he must be comfortable with both the creative and analytic elements of the role, as well as inspire the respect of the current and future team. As such, s/he will be an established leader and outstanding mentor with the energy and experience to build on a strong foundation and create a world-class department. Furthermore, you must be comfortable providing support and mentorship to current team of strong individuals while giving the team the latitude to execute on their initiatives. Trust, integrity, team builder and demand-generator will all be words used to describe Issuu’s VP of Marketing.
The VP of Marketing will run all aspects of marketing at Issuu, from digital customer acquisition and retention to product marketing and brand awareness to public relations. The position will partner closely with the existing Issuu Marketing team as well as the Product, Engineering, Sales/BD teams to relentlessly explore new ways to acquire Issuu customers and readers and increase lifetime value. Issuu’s VP of Marketing will also play a key role in continuing to develop a data-centric culture where key company decisions are made quickly with the benefit of strong data analysis and insight.
This team will be focused on the following areas:
Own and improve all metrics related to marketing from customer acquisition to retention and lifetime value. Take an ROI-focused approach to every investment made in marketing.
Build, develop and mentor a world class marketing organization.
Develop and implement a comprehensive customer acquisition strategy across online and offline channels to profitably acquire new customers.
Drive experimentation with new marketing channels and tactics using A/B and multivariate testing.
Develop and implement a strategy to drive improvements in customer upsell, lifetime value and net promoter score.
Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing organization’s programs and activities, monitor success to date and manage marketing forecasts with CFO
Own Issuu’s PR and social media strategies, with an eye on viral growth.
Focus on growing customer use of Issuu’s core paid products including Digital Publishing Suite, Digital Sales, Collaborate, Digital Content Share
Design and execute high impact community marketing initiatives
Create high impact national partnerships that accelerate awareness, adoption and loyalty.
As needed, engage and expand marketplace through summits, conferences, events, etc.
Partner with Product Organization on focus groups and user testing.
Attract world class talent to build out team across all departments.
